The patch is the oldest known treatment for lazy eye syndrome in children. This treatment is designed to force the brain to recognize data received from the affected eye.
The time the patient will wear the patch will vary by individual. In some cases, Eye Secrets recommend wearing eye patch just two hours per day, while in other cases, this may require more time. However, in most cases, patients with lazy eye syndrome should wear it for six hours per day.
In the case of children under four years, the time of the patch will be significantly lower than in children older than four years.
Treatment for lazy eye patch is more effective in young children, who were newly diagnosed with amblyopia. However, in the case of adults diagnosed with lazy eye, need more aggressive treatment.
